New local disk drives in 'My computer'? - Windows 10
Hi,
Now we are going see the step for how to create a new local disk drive in Windows 10.
1. Click Start Icon
2. Click File Explorer
3. You can see the left side of a folder as This PC. Right-click on that
4. Then choose Manage
5. Now one new tap will open in name of Computer management
6. In that Go to the Storage section, and below that, you can see Disk management
7. Then click on the Disk Management
8. Now You can see all C, D drives with memory status
9. Click on which drive you to want to create new local disk drives. Better choose higher memory folder
10. Right-click on the disk and choose shrink volume
11. Wait for untill process complete and after the process, you will see a box with memory data
12. In that, you can see Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB. Enter how much amount space you need like, if you want 5GB, enter 5120 ( 1 GB = 1024 MB).
13. Then click shrink. It will take some time
14. Now you can see a space named as Unallocated space with that 5 GB data
15. Then click on that unallocated space and then click New Simple Volume
16. After one Wizard box will open, Click Next 2times
17. Then choose the Disk drive name like E, F, G, Etc.., Then click Next
18. Choose the Format this volume with the following settings. Give a name of name-new disk if you wish
19. Then Click Next and now you click Finish
20. Now your new local disk ready to use
